Wiltshire's biggest centre for water-based activities apart from the canal is the Cotswold Water Park, a collection of 140 lakes in 40 different ownerships. |
|---|

The lakes are the results of many years of gravel extraction. Sailing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, snorkeling, diving or even pumping away on a single pedalo are all available. There is a bathing beach at keynes Country park and open water swimming is available at some but not all lakes. |
